COVINGTON, GA – The newest member of the Local Board of Directors for Georgia Piedmont Technical College had her swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday at the Covington campus of GPTC.

May 21, 2024: Chief Magistrate Judge Phina Aten of the Rockdale Judicial Circuit swears in Ruth Wilson as the newest member of the GPTC Local Board.

Ruth Wilson of Rockdale County comes to the Georgia Piedmont board with a wealth of knowledge and experience involving her community. She retired after serving three terms as the Clerk of Courts in Rockdale and was the first African American elected to the post. Prior to her public service, Wilson worked for 26 years with SouthWestern Bell/AT&T/Bellsouth companies.
